Founder & Visionary Behind Akshay Film Institute

KPS Akshay is an Indian film actor, director, screenwriter, lyricist, and producer known for his versatile contributions to the cinema industry. Born on 28th May, he hails from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. His parents, Kanthasamy and Poovathaal, have been a strong foundation in his journey. He is married to Kavitha. Akshay completed his education at Annamalai University and further pursued Film Technology in Chennai, strengthening his technical and creative expertise in filmmaking. With a passion for cinema and education, he founded Akshay Film Institute in Coimbatore, which began as an acting school and institute for mass communication. The institute was established with a vision to train and guide aspiring artists and filmmakers. He made his entry into the film industry with the movie “Unakku 20 Enakku 40” (2013), where he worked as an actor, writer, and director, marking a significant milestone in his career. Continuing his journey in cinema, his upcoming projects include “Boy Bestie,” “Kollywood,” and “Makkal Sevagan,” reflecting his ongoing commitment to storytelling and film production.
